What
is a SEER?
Seasonal Energy
Efficiency Ratio
This rating tells you how
efficiently a unit uses electricity. The higher the
number, the greater the efficiency. A unit with a higher
SEER rating will use less electricity to maintain the
same temperature as a unit with a lower SEER
rating. Back To

How do
I determine which unit and SEER rating I should
Purchase?
Make sure your air
conditioning/heating unit is properly sized for your
home. Operating a unit that is too small or too large is
highly inefficient. A unit that can't keep up with the
hottest afternoons or coldest nights may well be a unit
that is too small for your home. Back To

Are
you paying to cool or heat an empty
house?
In the summer, raise the
temperature when you plan to be away for several hours
at a time. If your home is regularly empty during the
day, invest in a programmable
thermostat. Back To

Tell
me about the Allergy 2000
filter.
The Allergy 2000 filter is
a four-stage electrostatic air filter designed to trap
more airborne particles for a far cleaner and healthier
environment than the old fashioned cardboard framed
filters. The filter comes with a lifetime guarantee-
it's the last filter you will ever purchase! The Allergy
2000 filter is cleaned with a light water hose
spray. Back To

Should I have maintenence performed on my air
conditioning unit?
You wouldn't
drive your car year after year without changing it's oil
or taking it in for a tune- up. Yet many people run
their air conditioners and heaters for years without
having them serviced The results are unnecessarily high
energy costs and a reduced lifespan for their heating
and cooling system. We recommend twice a year- in the
Spring and Fall. Having regularly scheduled maintenence
performed on your unit, including a chemical coil clean,
will help maintain the efficiency and SEER rating of
your unit. Don't be mislead by thinking that as long as
your unit is running, everything's OK. Air conditioners
running low on refrigerant will have to run extra harder
and longer to maintain your desired temperature,
resulting in higher electric bills! Also, this will
eventually lead to equipment
failure. Back To
