Making your home more energy efficient can save you a lot of money on your utilities. We all know how expensive it can be to cool your home during the summertime in Arizona. Performing a complete energy audit of your home or business will show us areas that we can improve and make more energy efficient.
Before we arrive at your house, make a list of any existing problems such as condensation and 
uncomfortable or drafty rooms. Please have copies or a summary of your home’s yearly energy bills. (Your utility company can get these for you.) We will use this information to know of specific areas to look for during the audit. We will first examine the outside of your home to determine the size of the house and its features (i.e., wall area, number and size of windows). The auditor then will analyze the residents’ behavior:
Is anyone home during working hours?
What is the average thermostat setting for summer and winter?
How many people live here?
Is every room in use?
Your answers may help uncover some simple ways to reduce your household’s energy consumption. You are welcome to walk through your home with us as we work, and ask questions. We will use equipment to detect sources of energy loss, such as blower doors, infrared cameras, furnace efficiency meters, and surface thermometers.
